TikTok It Don’t Stop

TikTok has become quite the new fad for people of all ages, and even in it’s infancy it has shown to help individuals and businesses alike become innovative with their approach. Just coming up with the idea of what local business to represent had a cause for getting creative. When I was thinking of ideas I was trying to correlate them to slogans and catch phrases already out there on the market for these different businesses. I also wanted to integrate my kids since about half of the TikToks I see have a comedic aspect to them, and knew I could get that with my children. After much thought, I was driving around town and passed a Dairy Queen, which I instantly thought of the line “hot eats, cool treats.” I really wanted to integrate both the hot and cold aspects to show off both things that Dairy Queens does well. Being newer to TikTok I have noticed that some of the more famous accounts are able to incorporate multiple features and the platform does a great job at providing these resources. My end result was decent I feel like, but not really knowing all the abilities of TikTok hurt me when I did the hot portion of the ad and then saved a draft. So when I went back in to add my kids eating ice cream I couldn’t figure out how to add that portion. If I had a go again, I would have completed all my videos first and then conducted editing. In the end what I realized with this project was just being open to taking your time to figure out your marketing strategy and write it out. This will help to really promote the business brand to the most effective approach.
